In an effort to gather input and interest, I am asking all members of the Hemisync Yahoo Group to vote in this poll. I am offering this website to this group because:

1- The information that is currently being generated is important and enjoyable to read, but hard to follow in its current format.
2- A forum board and CMS (content management system) is close to perfect for this type of use.
3- Currently, there are not any forum boards which are solely dedicated to the discussion of hemi sync products that I am aware of. Hemi Sync products are only mentioned in other forum boards. This board will primarily discuss binaural beats which TMI is the pioneer in this area. So, it makes sense to focus on their products and their effects.

If this website is wanted by the Yahoo Group Members, then it will come with the following considerations as long as I am the administrator:
1- No advertisements, well, maybe a Google Adsense block. The purpose is not to make money but rather to generate some money to cover the cost of the domain name and hosting. If no advertisements were allowed then at some point in time, donations would be solicited. Preferably, I would want donations, it keeps the site "cleaner".
2- I would ask for the site to be mature and responsible.
3- I would ask for the current owner(s) and moderator(s) of the Yahoo Group to assist in the moderation of this site.

I want to say upfront that I do not wish to split the Yahoo Group, nor do I want to generate content for a profit in any way.

Please keep in mind that the current domain name is irrelevant. I have placed it here in this domain temporarily only. If used, it will be placed into a domain selected solely for this purpose and will reflect the subject matter of the site.

Please vote in the Poll.

-Craig-

EDIT: Poll was closed and the subdomain was transferred to a main domain.

Hello,

I am an avid reader of the Hemi-Sync Yahoo group. I think this site and forum is a great idea. I always found it hard to keep up with all the disjointed e-mails all the time. In fact, I had searched high and low for a form like this-so I am glad that you took the initiative to create it. I am hoping it will expand over time and evolve in to an excellent resource for all.

On a side note, you might want to watch out for spammers. It seems like they all to often attack small forums that are starting up like this, and it can be discouraging to new users when many of the topics are junk.

I hope the best for you and this forum!

Yes bots and spammers are always a problem for interactive websites such as this. It is for this reason alone that anyone who wishes to post content on this website must be a registered user and logged in. This is a first line of defense against spamming. There are a couple of other things that I can do to "harden" the website, but they may not be needed.

Also, this website does not use email activation to activate their account, thus it is important for everyone to check their email settings to make sure that emails from the website do not end up in their junk or spam email folder.
